Sergey Timchenko confirmed the World Champion title and brought the first gold medal to Russia!!! 

The Classic World Champion 2014, four times European Champion, Sergey Timchenko from Russia, was the first non-Asian skater to win the World Championships in the Classic discipline. He did his run perfectly clean and managed all of his hard tricks, confirming his title of the World number one skater. He repeated his result from last year and won the World Champion title for the second year in a row!


"I am happy with my results", Champion said, "but I am disappointed by my performance, I didn't manage two of my most important combos. I will try to make it better during the Battle. This is the most important event of the year, so I will do my best!"


Bronze medalist of the World Championships 2014, Chinese skater Ye Hao Qin, received two silver World Championships medals in 2012 and 2011. He performed an excellent show with his very fast, technical and dynamic run and added another silver medal to his collection. He is the Vice-World Champion of this year! 


Vice-European Classic Champion 2014 and 2013, Timchenko Alexander from Russia was ranked 8th at the last year's Championships. He extremely improved his results, making his best ahievement so far! This is his first World Championships podium and new bronze medal received for Russia.  He is the third European skater to win the Classic medal during all of the World Championships history!
