Czech Slalom Series in Přerov

The first two-cone event of the year was held in the beginning of May, in Přerov, Czech Republic. For the fourth year in a row Přerov-city opened his doors for skaters to compete for the victory of the World Slalom Series events. Just like one year ago, this competition had a 2-cone status and gathered all the main disciplines: Freestyle Battle and Classic, Speed Slalom and Slides.

Women's Classic

Two Czapla's sisters reserved the top of the Women's Classic podium. Justyna Czapla (Pol, #18) got her first victory of this year, repeating her result of 2014. She won the Classic competition and left behind her older and better world-ranked sister, Ewelina Czapla (Pol, #13), who ended up on the second place. Navrátilová Hana (Cze, #41), who was second last year, performed well and finished third.

Men's Classic

In the Men's Freestyle Classic discipline, David Jaworski (Pol, #17) started the season 2015 with his first victory. He was first for all the three judges, just like one year ago. Kamil Motyka (Pol, #49) finished right after, improving a lot his last year result (from 7th place to 2nd). Pavel Breznik (Svk, #84) made his best result so far, finishing third and being for the first time on a two-cone event's podium.

Women's Freestyle Battle

Ewelina Czapla (Pol, #13) did her best to take revenge and to win the Women's Battle final. The Classic winner, Justyna Czapla (Pol, #18), who highly improved her speed and technical level, finished at the second step of the podium. Hana Navrátilová (Cze, #41) is continuing to grow. Her runs looked very promising and she was not far away from the second place but had to be satisfied with a bronze medal this time. Maja Kozlowska (Pol, #160), who started her career in 2014 at Battle Warsaw, showed very good level for her young age and ended up fourth. This is her best result so far.

Men's Freestyle Battle

Like last year, the Battle victory went to Dawid Jaworski (Pol, #17), who impressed the audience and judges with high-level combos on toe. Italian skater, Roberto Rosato (#24) took the second place, showing good runs but failing in doing some tricks. Krzysztof Zyborowitz (Pol, #86) made his best result so far, finishing third in a 2-cone event. Přemysl Navrátil (Cze, #68) improved his result from last year (he ended up only 7th) and finished fourth this time.

Speed Slalom Women

Three Polish girls occupied the Speed Slalom podium. Justyna Czapla (Pol, #19) showed the best qualification time (5,157 sec) and won the big final in front of her sister, Ewelina Czapla (Pol, #14). Magdalena Dziama (Pol, #80) did her best result so far, taking the third place and left the fourth position to Hana Navratilova (Cze, #54).

Speed Slalom Men

Pavel Breznik (Svk, #78) showed an excellent result, winning the Speed Slalom final and getting his very first victory on a 2-cone event! David Jaworski (Pol, 25) preformed the best time during the qualification (4,666 sec) and finished on the second place. Roberto Rosato (Ita, #20) won the consolation final against his brother, Gianmarco Rosato (Ita, #24), who ended up one step away from the podium.

Freestyle Slides Mixed

David Jaworski (Pol, #15) got another victory, this time in the mixed Battle competition. Roberto Rosato (Ita, #7) finished second. Patryk Gruszka (Pol) took the third place, leaving the only one girl of the final, Justyna Czapla (Pol, #14) not too far from the podium.
