WSS Brasil 3

The last two-cone event of the year was held on December, 13-14, in  São Paulo, Brazil. This competition was the biggest WSSA event in Brazil so far, therefore skaters from Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile tried to show their best, competed for the victory in the main disciplines.

Victor Fialkovics (Bra, #104) won the Men's Battle final, second year in a row, confirmed his result from last year. Gonzalo Cobo (Arg, #35) took the second place. It is his second podium in a two-cones event in 2014, after Slalom Fest in Mexico, where he was also second. Young Maxwell Santos (Bra, #193) showed a great result and finished on the third step of the podium. Sebastien Limon (Per, #438) took the fourth place. 


Paula Lema (Arg, #213) got her first victory in a two-cones event in 2014, winning the Women's battle competition. The winner of the Chile Slalom Series Battle, Battle Chile and Argentinian Battle Rosario, Gabriela Cubillos (Chi, #98) finished just behind, taking the second place. The Battle winner of last year, Driele Oliveira (Bra) went up to the third step of the podium. Beatriz Kohatsu (Bra, #214), who took the second place in 2013, finished at the foot of the podium.

In the Men's category, the first four places repeated the ones of the Battle. Victor Fialkovics (Bra, #104), showed a great result, the same as the last year, and got one more victory, winning the Men's Classic Competition. Gonzalo Cobo (Arg, #35) finished just after at the second place. Maxwell Santos (Bra, #193) went up on the third step of the podium. Sebastien Limon (Per, #438) ended up fourth. 


Gabriela Cubillos (Chi, #98) got her first victory in a two-cones event, winning the Classic Women's competition. Driele Oliveira (Bra), the 2013 Classic winner, took the second place. Battle winner, Paula Lema (Arg, #213) finished on the third step of the podium. Beatriz Kohatsu (Bra, #214), who was second last year, took the fourth place this time.

Speed Slalom

The first official Speed Slalom competition was organized in Brazil this year. Igor Rezende (Bra) won the Speed Slalom final. It is his very first victory and it's a two-cones event already! Leonardo Figueroa (Chi) finished second. Alexandre Ramos (Bra) won the consolation final against Sebastien Limon (Per, #553), who finished fourth.


Paula Lema (Arg, #303) who did the best qualification time (6,293 sec), won the final against Gabriela Cubillos (Chi, #338). Beatriz Kohatsu (Bra) won the small final in front of Glauciene Peixoto (Bra), and took the third place.

French guest, Igor Cheremetieff, took the opportunity to compete and won the Men's Slides final. Newcomer Patrick Souza from Brazil made a great result for his very first event and finished second. Leonardo Figueroa (Chi, #126) ended up third. Another newcomer from Brazil, Cruz Wilton took the fourth place.


Camila Cavalheiro (Bra, #60) won the Women's Slides final. Classic winner, Gabriela Cubillos (Chi) took the second place. Speed Slalom and Battle winner, Paula Lema (Arg) ended up third. Beatriz Kohatsu (Bra, #52), took the fourth place.

Jose De Freitas Dutra Junior (Bra) got the victory with the best jump over 140 cm. André Luiz Nunes Martins (Bra) took the second place with a 135 cm jump. Rodolfo Alves Da Silva (Bra), who jumped 130 cm, ended up third.


Daniela Ferreira Das Neves (Bra) got the victory with a 90 cm jump. Amanda Souza (Bra) took the second place, jumping over 85 cm. Camila Cavalheiro (Bra), who jumped over 80 cm, finished third.
