International Freestyle Skating Championships 2014

The last three-cone event of the year was held on November, 28-30, in Singapore. Skaters from all over the world competed in the main disciplines: Classic Freestyle Slalom, Pair Freestyle Slalom, Battle Freestyle, Speed Slalom and Freestyle Slides.

Women's Classic

Klaudia Hartmanis (Pol, #2) won the Classic Freestyle Slalom contest in Singapore. It was her second Classic victory in a main event this year, after the PSWC 2014. She performed quite a clean and technical run with many stylish moves and hard tricks. Maryna Boiko  (Ukr, #3) took the second place, showing fast and dynamical skating with good combos but missed some of her tricks.  Zoé Granjon (Fra, #5) finished just behind Maryna, getting the third step of the podium. Unfortunately, she missed too many tricks and couldn't fight for a higher rank.

Men's Classic

Ye Hao Qin (Chn, #5) won the Men's Classic competition. He performed a very fast run with a good choreography at a high technical level. Michał Sulinowski (Pol, #8) took the second place, with a perfectly clean and very fast run, but less technical. Alexander Timchenko (Rus, #6) finished at the third place of the podium, with a good run to the music and mixed with an interesting combos. Alexandre Claris (Fra, #2) finished 4th.

Junior Classic

Feng Hui (Chn, #9) took the victory in the Junior Women's category. She did a perfectly clean run, combined with high technique and smooth footwork. Zhao Yi Ran (Chn, #47) got the second place with a very fast and interesting skating. Reika Shakira Adifa (Ina) ended up third.

 

Pan Yu Shuo (Chn, #38) won the competition in the Junior Men's category, showing very high level tricks. Chan Man Fung Anson (Hkg, #49) finished just behind, on the second step of the podium with an original and quite a fast execution. Lo Ng Shuen (Hkg, #58) took the third place. His performance was of very good quality, but not strong enough to claim a better place.

Classic Slalom Pair

Koreans Yu Jin Seong and Lee Choong Goon won the Pair Freestyle with a very dynamic and synchronized run. Polish Michał Sulinowski and Klaudia Hartmanis took the second place, showing very clean skating. Ye Hao Qin and Pan Yu Shuo from China ended up third.

Women’s Freestyle Battle

Maryna Boiko (Ukr, #3) won the Women's battle competition. It was her first on a main main event in 2014.  Classic winner Klaudia Hartmanis (Pol, #2) finished just behind, taking the second place. Zoe Granjon (Fra, #5) took the third step of the podium. Feng Hui (Chn, #9) finished at the foot of the podium.

Men’s Freestyle Battle

Sawangsri Kanchanok (Tha, #24) won the Men's Battle. He shows long and difficult combos and very high level tricks. This is his best result so far. Alexander Timchenko (Rus, #6) took the second place with good performances and crazy combos, like front toe footgun to back superman. Alexandre Claris (Fra, #2) finished on the third step of the podium. He perfomed well but didn't succeed in all his tricks. Michał Sulinowski (Pol, #8) took the fourth place. He missed some tricks and his last trick was not as strong as the others'.

Zoe Granjon (Fra, #3), who did the best qualification time (5.169 sec), won the final against Klaudia Hartmanis (Pol, #7). It was her first victory on a main event and her best result this year. Paulina Czapla (Pol, #17) won the consolation final in front of Camilla Morbidoni (Ita, #25), and took the third place.

WFSC 2014 Bronze medalist Ye Hao Qin (Chn, #29) won the Speed Slalom final. Ma Pak Hong (Hkg, #56) did great in finishing second. Alexandre Claris (Fra, #3), who did the best qualification time (4.395 sec), ended up third. Alexander Timchenko (Rus, #14) finished fourth.

Junior Speed Slalom

In the Junior Women's category, Lu Qian Qian (Chn, 32), whodid the best qualification time (4.675 sec), won the final in front of Feng Hui (Chn, #35). Zhao Yi Ran (Chn, #121) won the consolation final against Ngan Ching Yiu (Hkg, #200)


In the Junior Men's category, Pan Yu Shuo (Chn, #53), who did the best qualification time (4.281 sec), won the final in front of Chan Man Fung Anson (Hkg, #55). Chou Po-Wei (Tpe, #149) won the consolation final against Valentino Sumolang Ferainheart (Ina, #542)

Tan Yan Jun Valerie (#47) from Singapore won the Women's Slides final. Ewelina Czapla (Pol, #11) took the second place. Margaryta Boiko (Ukr, #21) ended up third. Newcomer from Indonesia, Angelicia Nawang Wulan, took the fourth place. 


2014 World Champion and current world number one Huang Hai Yang from China, won the Men's Slides final. Three skaters from Singapore tookover the rest of the Top-4: Golfo Justin Clark (#18) finished second, Lee Zheng Dao (#85) ended up third and Kor Meng Ching Samuel (#127) took the fourth place.
