The Classic Vice-World Champion 2013, Chinese Meng Yun, showed her best result so far, winning her very first gold medal during the World Championship 2016! Here Meng Yun is sharing with us her thoughts about this big day.

"I have never thought of winning because my opponents were very strong.", Meng Yun said. "This World Championship was difficult for me because our strongest skater, Su Fei Qian, was not participating. Also, my lacking of self-confidence made me extremely nervous during this competition. That's why I so enjoyed the recognition and support of the skaters from many other countries. Next season, I hope to train hard to join again the World Championship. I will do my best for another victory for my country. I also hope that my teammate, Yu Jun Yan, can strengthen his stability and win a gold medal!"
