World Ranking Rules
Each event of the World Slalom Series gives points for the WSSA World Ranking.
Skaters can participate to as much events as they want in the season.
For Freestyle slalom, the 5 best results of the season are used to calculate the world ranking. (Battle and Freestyle classic)
For Speed Slalom, the 4 best results of the season are used to calculate the world ranking.
For Slides, the 3 best results of the season are used to calculate the world ranking.
If 2 skaters have the same amount of points, the total score of the season will be used to rank them.
If skaters participate in the 2 major events in the season, the best result only will count as a major event. The second best result will count as a main event. For example 1 skater is 1st in
Asia Major and 2nd in Europe Major, he will get 400 + 269 = 669 points (instead of 750)

Battle Freestyle Philosophy
The Battle system is based on trust between skaters, organisation and judge team.
We are aware that judges are not machines or robots, and sometimes, as they are humans, they could make mistakes. This system is made to minimize mistakes, as 3 judges collaborate together, the team of judges is like 1 judge with 3 brains and 6 eyes. As they have maximum 4 skaters to compare, it makes their job easier. If they were robots anyway, it wouldn't be funny :)
The most important to be a good judge is experience : experience of judging, experience of analysing, experience of skating.
Having a good knowledge of tricks and skaters is also important.
Those rules are not meant to last forever, they are moving fast forward, to match as much as possible the reality of slalom, so please check this website again often to see the latest updates !!
